Spring Break and More

So this week is Daniels spring break. We have had an interesting week to say the least. Last Wednesday Emilie got the flu, then Daniel and I got it. We had Tim (a student from SUU) come out and stay with us Friday night because he had and interview at the pharmacy school on Saturday. I felt so bad because we were sick and we just sat here the whole time, terrible hosts to say the least, and hopefully he didn't get sick. We didn't eat at all that day, so I didn't cook or do anything for him literally. He ate a stinking hot pocket for dinner. I felt so bad. Anyways hopefully his interview went well. Sunday Daniel and I started feeling better. I had a Dr appointment on Monday so we started off our little vacation with a trip to the Dr. On our hour drive to the office, Emilie started screaming I have to go poop I have to go poop. She has done so good with potty training and tells me every time, so luckily I had the potty in the car and Daniel pulls over and she goes diarrhea in the potty, so now I get the fun task of dumping it on the side of the road and then trying to wash it out the best I can with bottled water. So fun, so that made us late to the Dr. Luckily they still saw me, then we headed out for a 2 hour trip. Right as we pulled into the town, Emilie was like my tummy hurts, and starts throwing up in the car, I did bring a bowl and caught the last part of the flying chunks, but basically had to strip her down to her underwear and clean up everything with wipes and then try to find our hotel. So for the next few days we got to get into a car that smelt like throw up. We ended up having a great time, we went to Gatlinberg TN and stayed at this resort that has an indoor water park. Emilie loved swimming and I loved being in a swimming suit that didn't fit. I looked ridiculous, I don't have a maternity swimming suit because I have never needed one before, I was bulging out everywhere. ha ha. We also got to hit up some outlet malls and it was so fun. I went crazy at Children's Place and Carters. The outlets were way bigger than the ones in St. George and Children's Place was having a huge sale. Like everything was 2.99 Easton is like set for winter. Anyways, this is a long post but we had a good time, here are a few pictures.

These next are just a few of the park, the slides were fun, you started indoors then went outdoors and back indoors. They also had a jacuzzi that was indoors and then you could walk out doors while in it. Also the yellow slide was too fast for me to go down, but I got to go down the red one without the life guards saying anything. But after going I thought that maybe it wasn't something I should do again. I contracted the entire trip down. ha ha

We went right during Emilies nap so she was so tired after a few hours of swimming she just layed down and went to sleep.

Here is a pic of her and me, I should have changed may camera settings for most of these pictures. opps

Daddy and Emilie

Here is just a little video of Daniel and Emilie

So a few weeks ago Daniels buddy Josh had a birthday. He comes over to our house a lot to play games and eat dinner, so I thought I would make him a little cake. He loves to golf and is really good. So Daniel and I decided that we would make a golfing cake. Anyways, this is how it turned out. Daniel took it to class and they all ate it. Just the week before I made cinnamon rolls and Daniel took a dozen to class and he said they were all gone so fast and everyone who didn't get one kept asking him for some. I think they are thinking I'm going to bake for them every week. ha ha.

And last, I guess I need to talk about the bachelor. What the HE**!!!! I don't think I can watch the show anymore. Did he really do that? Like how low is he, I cant stand it. And if the show had a part in hurting those girls like that I just don't even think I can watch it anymore. Melissa deserves someone better than him. And I like Jillian so hopefully hers goes better, but what can you expect really if the show is trying to pick your next husband. I guess good luck to Molly and Jason but if I were Molly I wouldn't want anything to do with Jason!

PS. The whole Deanna thing was so funny and stupid. You know they paid her and also they had to of set him up because he just shut her down fast. :)

The Bachelor

Ok... so who watches The Bachelor. I haven't really gotten into it as much this year as I have in the past, I guess because I have my friends to talk to about it with out here. But I still watch it and want to know what everyone is thinking. Do you really think the Deanna thing is real? I think she just wants some more publicity, she so loves the cameras. I really hope Melissa wins. I don't really like Molly that much, I wish it would have been between Melissa and Canada girl. But I have liked Melissa from the start. Anyways, tell me what you think and take a vote on who's going to win.

Happy Valentines!

So this is just a little post of some of our past valentines days. This year we didn't do much, Emilie loved valentines day so much. We were watching the 2 Whitney kids for the weekend, so we had fun doing kid stuff. Then Daniel and I watched a movie (Fireproof) and went to bed. So I thought I would post some pictures of each of the years before this one. I just realized that I wasn't very good at taking pictures of the things that Daniel got me, just the things I did for him. ha ha. So anyways, here we go.

The First
2003, We had just started dating, and neither of us knew if we should do something for each other. So I decided I would decorate his apartment and in all the balloons I put reasons why I liked him. We hadn't said the big LOVE word yet. And I left him a little present on his bed. And Daniel had put his valentines to me on my bed at my apartment. He got me some cute pajama pants, flip flops, a shirt and a rose. All day I thought that he wasn't going to do anything for me, but luckily he had a friend (Lauren) who told him that he needed to do something. ha ha, so she helped him out. And shortly after that we became IN LOVE!

2004
The Next year was our first year being married and so for valentines we went to Las Vegas with the Blasdells. (These pictures are so funny, Jill will probably kill me)
We were on top of the Stratosphere in this one

2005 Didn't get lucky enough to have pictures. If I remember right I think I decorated Daniels car at school?

2006
We had Steven and Nicholas living with us this year so we kicked them out and had a little romantic evening with the house to ourselves. Daniel had some flowers delivered to me at work. And just a few weeks after this we found out that Emilie was on her way.
2007
Emilies first Valentines. She made Daniel a shirt and Daniel got me some flowers and something else that I cant remember. And Emilie got her first ever valentines from Hallee Hawkins. I think that we went to dinner that night with the Cutlers and Noels.

2008 was our 5 years of valentines spent together. So I did the 14 days of valentines. A little remember when gift each day. I wrote different things that we had done down and got gift certificates of those things that we had done while dating or being married. It was fun to remember the things that we had done over the last 5 years. Emilie thinking that it was so cool.
And then 2009
This was a fun year because Emilie remembered for days that Valentines was coming. She was so excited to send out treats to all our family and friends back in Utah. We made pink rice krispies and sugar cookies. And she loved getting a valentine from her daddy. Daniel and I didn't do much for each other because we are wanting to go somewhere for spring break. So we decided that we would spend our money on something fun while we are somewhere else. So we spent most of the day playing with the kids and then relaxing.
These are the heart pancakes that I made for us and the kids that morning. With some strawberry Jam.
Emilie with her valentines from her dad
Some flowers that Daniel brought home for me
This is Emilie saying happy valentines day
And FINALLY! Emilie is almost potty trained. I don't let her wear panties at night. But she does so good during the day. She goes on her little potty by her self. We took her to church in panties and she told us that she had to go. She has done so good she went 3 times at church. ha ha. This was one of the hardest tasks for me to do with Emilie, but all the sudden she just picked up on the fact that it is cool to not pee in your pants I guess. So I am way excited and glad she will be out of diapers before Easton gets here.

Baby Shower

So this last Saturday my friend Keresa threw a little baby shower for me. My mom and dad came out for the weekend and so we had a little party and it was fun. I really sucked at the games. A few other girls from our branch came too. It was nice to kind of celebrate little Easton coming, these girls have all been so helpful in giving me things, they have given me some boxes of clothes which will be so helpful. I actually have some boy stuff now. :) I just need to get motivated to start working on his bedroom. Anyways, we had a good time and we really enjoyed having my parents come out to visit we always love visitors. Here are a few pictures from the shower. I look like a buffalo in that plaid shirt!

My Family

I just wanted to write to let my brothers and sisters know how much I love and care about them. There have been a few things happen in my extended family lately that make me really stop and think of how thankful I am for family and the amazing parents and brothers and sisters I have. Even though we may have our own problems here and there, we are all in good health and we all have good relationships. I am so thankful to know that my family will be together forever. I don't get to see them as often as I would like, but I wanted them to all know that I think about them all the time and miss them.
Nicholas: I think I would have to say that he is probably Emilie's favorite. All she does is talk about him. She is always telling me that she is talking to him on the computer or on the phone. He is such a great uncle and he would do anything for us. I don't think he could have married a better girl that would fit into our family. I love talking to Kelli and we have so much fun together. I'm so excited that we will be having our little baby boys close together.

Erik: He has been such a help to us this past year. He has been the one that made it possible for us to come home for the holidays and for me to fly home in the summer. He works so hard and didn't even get to spend the holidays with us. He and Amy are always sending Emilie little gifts from Disneyland or NYC, and we really appreciate that. She loves getting mail.

Michael: Is my brother who thinks he knows everything :) haha There is never a dull moment when you are around him, He always makes things entertaining. (Don't tell the other boys...) But growing up I always thought Michael was the cutest. And if he would cut all that stinking hair of his head he would be cute again. haha. I have always teased Michael, I think its because he gets so embarrassed, but we love him and hope that he can get a job soon. :)

Now the girls
Desiree: She and I shared a room when I lived at home, I remember I would always get so mad because she always made our room a mess, but now she keeps things nice and clean. She is such a beautiful girl and I was so excited when she became part of our family, I finally had a sister. I haven't got to see her much in the last few years, but I want her to know I love her.

Taiylor: She is probably the most athletic chick in k town right now. I love watching her play sports and especially when she does gymnastics. I think when she gets into high school she is going to be so successful, she is so strong and she has already broke so many school records in track. I also love that she is athletic but also girlie, she does a good job at getting fixed up and she looks so cute.

Lyndsey: My little little sister the youngest of us all, Daniel and I are always calling her L.B.B (Lyndsey Brat Bartlett) because she definitely knows how to work my mom and dad over. haha I guess that is the roll of the youngest. But she is such a good sister, she is always willing to do anything for us. She is always willing to take Emilie for walks or babysit her most of the time with out getting paid. She is so funny and has such a great personality. She does a good job at being the youngest.

Anyways, I just wanted to let them know that I love them and miss them!
