Braves Game & Camping

Aug. 15 was 0ur 6th year anniversary, and Daniel had a week off break before fall semester started so we decided to go do some fun things. This summer has been weird not doing LSI but soooooo very very nice, we had sort of a life this summer and we loved not having the stress of sales, living in our own home, not sleeping on an air mattress or sitting in camping chairs, getting to spend the 4th of July with family and we could finally celebrate our anniversary with out the stress of work. Except with kids and no babysitter, it was kind of hard. But we made the best of it. We took a trip down to Atlanta and our very generous friends the Ohmans let our family overwhelmingly stay at their home. We didn't get any pictures of staying with them but it was fun for us to see them. We went to a Braves/Phillie's game. We were sad the Phillie's lost it in the last inning, but we had a good time. We had got great seats on eBay, but the sun was on us the entire time and it was getting so hot. About the 4th inning we found worse seats but in the shade and it made things a lot more enjoyable.

After being so miserable dripping with sweat and Easton needing a nap this is what we did for a inning or two. I think this could be considered a White Trash way of taking a nap.

We also went camping this past weekend. I have been trying to get Daniel to go all summer but it seems to rain every weekend. So this last weekend called for no rain. Daniel was sick but we decided to go anyway, the Whitney's came with us. Its always fun to hang out with them. Even though it ended up raining ALL night which made for a lot of work the next day, we still had fun. Emilie loves it.

So the break is over and Daniel starts yet another semester of school today. The kids are just getting bigger, Easton is 5 months today. He has been so cranky I think his first tooth is breaking though which is making him have a high fever and giving me no sleep. But they both bring so much joy into our lives. Daniel and I are always cracking up at Emilie I wish I could remember all the funny things she says. But we love them both so much and are so thankful to have them in our lives.

Ok so Easton is now 4 months and for about the last month in a half he has been passing the WORST smelling gas EVER. Like I don't even think I have ever smelt one of Daniels that has reeked as bad as the ones Easton lets lose. So do you think this is normal? He gets it out all the time, I give him mylicon. But the smell is soooooooo bad, I get like sick to my stomach. He passes gas all day. He doesn't poop every day like Emilie did but he doesn't seem to be constipated or anything. Sorry to make a post about gas and poop :) but I was just wondering what you all thought.

Easton's 4 Month Check Up

We had Eastons 4 month check up today. Things are going good, he is getting so big. His measurements are:

Weight: 15.7lbs - 60th %

Height: 25.5 inches - 75th %

Head: 42 cm - 30th%

And yesterday Easton rolled over. I tried to get him to last week and he wouldn't but he has decided he would. This video is his third time doing it. Emilie also wants the attention, every time I'm on the floor with him she has to act like she is doing the same thing :) We love her though.

Anyway, we love this little guy so much. He brings so much joy to our little family. I'm so thankful that he is healthy and strong. He just smiles at us all day, he is so happy. He also for the first time slept through the night, which was so nice, we are hoping he starts doing that more.

I LOVE my Family

Well here are a few pictures of what we have been up to lately. We our enjoying life out here in the country. We have been missing home ever since we returned from our trip, but we have some fun things to look forward to. Here is Emilie at her last story time for the summer, they did a puppet show, she loves going to the library.

They have 2 kid computers and she thinks she is so big and loves to play on them. I let her do one of the alphabet activities and she did so good, all by her self. I had to bribe her so that we could leave.

Easton just turned 4 months old. It always seems like the first months last forever, but we have enjoyed him so much. He has a doctors appointment this week so we will know is measurements, but for now here are a few pictures. He is such a fun loving baby, we all enjoy him so much. There is also a video of him laughing with my mom.

My mom came out for a few days which was so fun and nice. She is always such a big help with the kids when she comes, I love it. She does everything for these 2, they love her so much. The video is of her getting Easton ready for a bath and he was cracking up.

One morning we had a lost deer in the front yard, Emilie my mom and I all sat there and watched it try to find its way home, it was sweet. Emilie loved it and the story my mom made up was so cute, Emilie kept telling everyone that a deer lost her mommy and she couldn't find her but then she left to go find her.
Just lounging around, I though this was so cute, my mom was reading to the kiddos. They loved every minute of itOur branch celebrated Pioneer day on Saturday. Here is Emilie in her little pioneer outfit. I spent a couple hours sewing this up, I am defiantly not a seamstress but it worked.

Leaving for UTAH and Eastons first plane ride. Emilie was such a pro at the airport. She knows everything to do. Here we are at the start of our trip.

We went to Quail with my family and camped and then had fun on the lake. They have 2 wave runners and then an old X2 jet ski. We had so much fun. Emilie loved the wave runners and everything, she would drive and we would be going 60 mph on the lake. It was a blast.

Emilie got to go the Anna's birthday party. It was so much fun. She loved playing with Anna and all her cousins while at home.

*4th of July*

To start of the day I woke up at 6:30 am and did the Fun Run (2 1/2 miles around Kanab) I met up with some of my friends to take a picture but Alexis and I ran together. We finished in 20 min and Lexi and I brought home the 3rd and 4th place ribbon for our age group. Nice huh.

After the run we went to the parade, this is my first time in Kanab for the 4th and we loved it, We have been gone every summer for 6 years and it was nice to be able to be home and spend time with family. Picture of the Gilbergs and then Bartletts.

Then we got the permission to go to 3 lakes. Both our families came and besides Rachel's fall on the zip line, everything was great and fun. Emilie wouldn't turn to take a picture.

Then later that night both our family's rented the pool to BBQ and watch the fireworks. We had a blast, it was a full day.

On Sunday we blessed Easton. Thanks to everyone who came. We loved seeing everyone and we had a fun luncheon after too.

Then on Monday we took family pictures. This was the first time my family has been together in a long time so we had family pictures taken. Matt Brown took our main one but then the others are just with my camera. So far this is the one we like the best..still looking though
