The kids got to sit with Santa 2 times. Once at the Christmas Festival and once at the Grocery Store. Easton was pretty timid this year. Emilie loved every minute.

Emilie's Dance Performance

There is a huge reason why I have not been blogging much anymore. My computer has been running so slow. My iPhone has been satisfactory for my internet use so I don't get on the computer much. I either need to take the time to do a factory reset, which is a lot of work because I have to reinstall everything along with making sure I have everything backed up. Or I need to get a new computer. Neither will be happening anytime soon I'm afraid.
This is Emilie at her Dance recital the first weekend in December. They danced at the Christmas Festival. She was super cute!

Thanksgiving 2011

This year we had Thanksgiving with Daniels family. Most everyone came down and we had a good time. The kids especially enjoyed their spook rides with Grandpa on the 4 Wheelers. He takes them into the dessert and tells them spooky stories. Easton came back and was describing to us these monsters with one big green eye and he opened one of his eyes really big. It was so cute to see him describe it to us. Daniel had to work most of the weekend except Thanksgiving day so he didn't get to play in the Alumni Basketball tourney. Steven did and they made it to the Championship game. But we had a great time hanging with the family. Here are some Pictures.
I took the kids to the Christmas lights parade the Day after Thanksgiving. It was quick and small but they loved it. Easton, Emilie and Emma.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was kind of crazy for us this year. We moved out of the Basement and into a house. Yay. So we spent all day moving and then rushed to trick or treating. We did the church trunk or treat first and then went to some of the neighborhoods with the Cutlers and Noels. The kids had a blast and got tons of candy. We crashed hard that night because we were all so tired from getting back Sunday from Dallas and Monday from moving. We are all settled in now and cant wait to get some progress on our new house plans. Emilie was a scary witch and Easton was the cutest police officer you ever saw.

Dallas, TX

BYU football played in cowboys stadium this year against TCU. We booked tickets from Vegas and spent 2 days in Dallas Texas with Mark, Carol, Steven & Rachel. We had red eye flights both ways so we didn't get much sleep but we had a great time going to the game and then to six flags the next day. Exhaustion set in when we got home but it was a great quick trip. Even with the salsa dance party our hotel had all night long where people pay to sleep not dance... OK moving on.

Here we are at six flags. We paid extra to get the flash pass so we hardly had to wait in line. Which means we rode a lot of roller coasters and are heads were spinning all day. My father in-law showed major signs of old age ;) He was no longer thrilled by the rides, he stopped at every bathroom we passed so he could "bond" with the toilets and he sat down every chance he got. Needless to say he enjoyed the game better than six flags. But only because the Cowboy cheerleaders were on the mega screen the entire time.

Emilie's 5th Birthday

Better late than never. I can not believe I have a 5 year old. It seems crazy to think we are in our last stretch before I have a child in school. I'm thankful for this time I get to spend with my kiddos and I love making their Birthdays fun and Magical like mine were. I grew up loving birthdays (Daniel, not so much) it was always my special day and I want to make that day special for my kiddos. Emilie is so girly and loves to perform and be on stage... (If you haven't seen the last post, you need to) Anyway, I decided to throw her a DIVA party. We invited friends and they got glammed up. Funky hair, nails and make-up were a must. They got to walk out on the catwalk and perform their favorite songs. We listened to a lot of Justin Beiber & Selina Gomez. I loved it! Emilie was spoiled with presents and overall it was a great birthday. Other than I still have a pinata in my coat closet because it was too cold and windy to go outside...hmmm what to do with that. I'm so thankful for this little 5 year old who has so much energy and excitement. Its more than I can handle some days but I can't imagine not having her in my life. I'm truly blessed to have 2 healthy and beautiful kids. Here are some pictures that documented her special day.

It's been a while...

I can't believe its been a month since I have blogged last. It has been kind of crazy around here. November 1st we moved and we didn't have Internet for a while, then we had thanksgiving and Christmas shopping. Things have stared to calm down except for the Chrismtas Shopping but I now have a few minutes to blog so here we go YAY.
This video is of Emilie in her true glory. We were getting ready for church and she started singing for me. I was busting up because she let me tape her one my phone a couple of times and then on the camera which was the best one by far. She is pure drama but we love her. I hope you enjoy her personality as much as I do in this video.

October Girls Night

We had a Halloween girls night this month. Everyone dressed up, we did a craft and danced out on the kinect. It was a lot of fun and I love getting to know new people every time.
Ashley Kartchner won first place for her costume (crazy cat lady) is what we called her. I won second place (cruella deville) and Alexis won third place with her sweet (facebook profile). Nikki dressed as MJ and came in a close 4th. Anyways, we had a great night.

Little Mermaid

Alexis and I wanted to take the girls to Little Mermaid at Tuacahn. So we made it a date night and left the litle ones with sitters. The girls loved it and Emilie keeps asking to go back. She said her favorite caracter was Ursela. We had a great time. Sorry the pictures are not great. They were taken with Claytons iphone.

Go BYU

Here are some cute pictures of my kiddos. We all love football and getting dressed up for the BYU games. They don't have a great team this year but its still fun to watch and let them become fans. Easton already knows what to say when you ask him who's the best......BYU or UTAH. :)
ps. We are going to the BYU game this year in Cowboys stadium, its going to be sweet!

Lake Powell Camping & Storm

We decided to go camping at Lake Powell in the boat. We went out that night slept and started the morning off heading up Navajo Canyon. It was a colder day but still nice and beautiful. We stopped at antelope point and started heading up the canyon, we had lunch at the end and started swimming a little bit. And then a storm rolled in and boy was it scary. There was lightning everywhere and flash floods coming off the canyon walls. We tried to tuck up into an area so we wouldn't get hit by lightning but logs and rocks were flying off the canyon walls so we needed to get out of there. Meanwhile I was scared and had scared kids. Hail was starting to come down and it seemed like it was never going to end. When I think about how cool the waterfalls and flash flooding was to see I'm not sure it was worth it. Everyone else thinks it was but I don't want to be in that situation again even knowing I would come out alive and not struck by lightning.

Here we are all camped out in the boat.

Starting our day off and some pictures of the small waterfalls that we saw in just mild rain.
Here is the video of the flash flooding we took. I wish we would have got more but the camera was getting soaked. There were thousands of waterfalls.

Camping in Kolob

We decided to take a quick family trip before all of Emilie's activities started. We headed up to my Grandparents Cabin and had some fun. We went on lots of hikes rode the 4 wheeler and found lots of horny toads. The kids love camping.
Emilie wanted to do a photo shoot. We are so professional right? She came up with all these poses on her own. I was cracking up.
Showing some of the Horny Toads we found... The kids thought they were so cool.
My Grandparents have this rock area that we sit on and it has all of the families hands placed in different places. Before we left we added Eastons hand to the collection of hands. Emilie, Daniel and I did ours in 2007 so we had to add Easton to the mix. Emilie of course had to do hers again.

Are you sick of lake pictures yet?

Every time we go to Lake Powell we do something new. This time Emilie got on the saucer. Basically its a wood board that is cut and painted in a 3 foot circle. Easy for kids to play on and have fun with. I went with Emilie first to show her how things work then she did it by herself. He loved it and only talks about doing that when we go back out. Shes super excited. Easton tried but didn't like it to well. Maybe next year.

Here is a video of her ride. Next time she says she is going to stand up.
