Our trip home

Leaving for UTAH and Eastons first plane ride. Emilie was such a pro at the airport. She knows everything to do. Here we are at the start of our trip.

We went to Quail with my family and camped and then had fun on the lake. They have 2 wave runners and then an old X2 jet ski. We had so much fun. Emilie loved the wave runners and everything, she would drive and we would be going 60 mph on the lake. It was a blast.

Easton ready for a day on the lake.

*4th of July*

To start of the day I woke up at 6:30 am and did the Fun Run (2 1/2 miles around Kanab) I met up with some of my friends to take a picture but Alexis and I ran together. We finished in 20 min and Lexi and I brought home the 3rd and 4th place ribbon for our age group. Nice huh.

After the run we went to the parade, this is my first time in Kanab for the 4th and we loved it, We have been gone every summer for 6 years and it was nice to be able to be home and spend time with family. Picture of the Gilbergs and then Bartletts.

Then we got the permission to go to 3 lakes. Both our families came and besides Rachel's fall on the zip line, everything was great and fun. Emilie wouldn't turn to take a picture.

Here is Daniel on the zip line, my video you cant really see me that good

Then later that night both our family's rented the pool to BBQ and watch the fireworks. We had a blast, it was a full day.

On Sunday we blessed Easton. Thanks to everyone who came. We loved seeing everyone and we had a fun luncheon after too.

My baby boy. 3 Months old.

Then on Monday we took family pictures. This was the first time my family has been together in a long time so we had family pictures taken. Matt Brown took our main one but then the others are just with my camera. So far this is the one we like the best..still looking though

Story Time

Emilie went to her first story time last week. She got her first library card and we got to check out some books. She was so excited. Its funny cause she likes to go but she is shy I guess. I can't get her to go sit on the rug by the other kids. And when the teacher invites the kids up to do things she won't go. She must be Daniels I guess. Our library is kind of ghetto its in a old house downtown, so you have to walk in and out of bedrooms and living rooms to find books. haha. Anyhow, here ya go...This was about making music, each kid got to take a pan or something and bang on it. Emilie wouldn't do it forever, I finally had to do it so she would then she didn't even want to bang on it she turned it over and stirred it like she was cooking. Is she a normal kid ??? She does participate in the crafts, that's good I guess. She needs more friends, most these kids are around other kids at day care all day so they get interaction.

Now she is happy

Only 4 days, if you cant tell we are pretty dang excited.

12 days and counting..Nothing to do with this post :)

Last weekend we had a BBQ at our friends the Vandykes. Emilie loves going over to their house. These guys are like our Grandma and Grandpa in Virginia. We love hanging out with them and they love the kids. They even babysat Emilie one day for me when I had to travel far to take Easton to his doctor apt. Anyways, here are some fun pics of us up at their house.
Emilie is out growing this bike, but she still loves it.
Cleo and Emilie taking Easton for a ride. She will do anything for these kiddos, she is always chasing Emilie.

Paul and Daniel hanging out at the table. Daniel showing his stupid fufu berry drink. We love the Vandykes, they have some great garden food so we are always getting yummy strawberries, cherry's, mulberries, blueberries and the veggies are still growing. We love it.
A not so great picture of Daniel and I

*Lightning Bugs*
So now that its summer we have been seeing a ton of Lightning Bugs (fire fly) the other night Daniel went and got Emilie out of bed to show her these. Both Daniel and I love them and think they are so cool to watch. Their little butts that light up are so cool. Anyway here is some pictures of that.

And Last...Nicholas and Kelli had their baby last week. He was born on June 12. They are naming him Ethan Nicholas Bartlett. We are so excited to see the little guy. Here is a little family pic.

Family Home Evening

Well tonight we had FHE. Its so fun to start teaching Emilie different things and also see the things that she picks up on from the lessons. She said the opening prayer and she was so cute. I think she talked about everyone and also asked for help that she wont pee her pants. :) It was so cute to see her try to put it all together. Anyways, so we had FHE tonight on the Holy Ghost, Daniel was teaching and trying to do a object lesson (The brown paper bag with a cell phone in it) The point was that you know something is in the bag but you cant see it. Like the Holy Ghost you know he is there but you cant see him. So after the little object lesson she pulled the phone out of the bag and said 'see dad its the Holy Ghost' and held up the phone. So now she thinks the phone is the Holy Ghost. I thought it was so funny, even though she is 2 1/2 she is trying to learn. She is always telling me about Jesus or John the Baptist. (She sings the Baptism song all day these days) Each week she loves learning a new song. Anyway, thought I would share that cute little story.
Here is a picutre of Emilie and Easton, coloring our Holy Ghost activity.

We also made a countdown today for our trip home. Emilie is so excited to go. She wakes up each day and says are we going to grandmas. I say no just a couple more weeks. She goes 4 months. I go no 3 weeks. I think is all the same to her.
Sorry she never has pants on, easier when she has to go pee
Lastly Daniel just finished up his rotation at the hospital. Emilie, Easton and I would go eat lunch with him at least once a week. The last day I made Cinnamon Rolls for the crew so we stoped by, everyone loved the kiddos. Anyways, this is where Daniel was working for the last 3 weeks, filling orders and making IVs. Fun Fun.

Enjoying Summer

Well Easton is now 2 months old....Crazy. He smiles and talks to us all the time. We love it, and he especially loves Emilie 1 inch from his face. Here are a few pics of the kiddos, I keep forgetting to take pictures of all of us when we do family things. Daniel has been on rotations for the last 3 weeks. It has been so nice to have him around more and him not having to study all the time. We are loving our little family.
Here is some of Easton smiling.
Lifting his head

A few weeks ago Emilie got a package from G & G Laub. She loves mail. This package had a fun blanket for her babies, which she uses all the time. Some candy and Jerky.
Right when she opened it, this is what she did. Lined everything up...do you think she is like me or what.
Today we received a package from G & G Bartlett. Easton got some outfits and a cute changing pad for the diaper bag.

Here are some pictures of his room. I didn't paint, the color was already there. Not much going on just thought I would show those who are interested.

Emilie LOVES her pool. She loves going outside, and lately she has been able to swim. She has had so much fun, we have been doing some yard work and she plays in the mud and loves it. So here are some of her.

And Finally, I bought some food storage. :) haha this is just a start...My cart was full but when I got home I realized I needed a lot more. Its a little overwhelming, but I've started and I'm trying. I just wish I had the exact amount of how much of what I needed to buy.
Anyways, hope all is going well with everyone. We miss UTAH and cant wait to come home. :)
