Valentines Weekend

Our Valentines this year was spread over a couple of days. Emilie started it off by having a valentines party at pre-school the Thursday before Valentines. She helped me make these snack bags and did such a good job writing her name on the back. She came home with tons of fun valentines.
Then on Saturday we had a stake Valentines dinner and dance. Each ward is required to have a few couples perform a dance that goes along with the theme of the dance. Daniel actually said yes! The theme was "At the Hop" 50's dress and we danced to "Rockin Robin" We had a great time at practices and at the dinner. Daniel and I along with the Blasdells did a few flips and lifts, it was a lot of fun and dinner was great.
I am completely devastated that I didn't get pictures of our actual valentines date. Alexis and I put together a valentines couples bunco party. We rented the conference room at the holiday inn and had a ton of fun snacks/treats and played bunco with 12 couples. We all brought a $20.00 couples gift and had a great time playing and picking our date night prizes. It was a huge success and we had a ton of fun. We ended the night by swimming at the pool and soaking in the jacuzzi. It was so much fun and I am so sad that we didn't get pictures.
We had a great valentines weekend! The Saturday before valentines we had some great weather in the 70's and decided to take the kids 4-wheeling and for a picnic up to the beehives. We left from our house and headed up the mountain. My mom came with us and the kids loved every min. Easton fell asleep on the 4-wheeler on the way up. They loved climbing the rocks and making sand angels in the dirt. This is the very reason I LOVE KANAB. You can do so many fun things right from your house. Nothing take weeks to plan. We have amazing friends, family and some AMAZING scenery. Who wouldn't want to live here. ;)
One day last week Anna came over to play with Emilie. They played outside the entire time. When I went to check on them I noticed Emilie was still in her white shirt and had red sand all over. It definitely was a Holy Crap, What The Heck... mom moment. I was so ticked that I hadn't changed her clothes and new I would never be able to get that shirt white again. For all you who have been around the red dirt, you know what I am talking about. Anyways, they had a good time and after many bleaches, oxy clean soaks, and some other concoction my mom has I'm happy to say the shirt is for the most part white again. yay. They had such a good time building mud castles and I couldn't stop them :)
That's what we have been up to :) enjoy!

Breaking News!!!

No, I'm not pregnant.
What do all these pictures have in common???
Well.... Daniel had secured a job and signed a 3 year contract. It is at the Safeway in Page, AZ. He graduates in May and will start working full time for them at that time. He will probably kill me for posting about this, he didn't want to take these pictures but of course I made him. This is a huge time in our lives and it seemed it would never come. Definitely worth a blog post. We are both super excited. We didn't expect to get such a great job so close to home, family & friends. Lake Powell is a HUGE plus and we are super excited to spend some time on the lake and teaching the kiddos how to ski & board. Anyways, so that is our exciting news...YAY!

New Cousin & Swimming

My brother Nicholas and his wife Kelli had their baby girl (Alyvia) on the 18th. We went over a week or so later so the the kids and I could see her. Emilie absolutely loved holding her and Easton didn't even care to look at her. She is such a doll and so tiny. We had a great time visiting and playing with cousins.
That afternoon we took the kids to the new Cedar City aquatic center. I so wish they had something like this when we lived there. We spent like 3 or 4 hours there and the kids LOVED it. I wish Daniel could have came, but he had to work. We went with Nicholas and Ethan and Grandma Gilberg, Mandy and Max. Emilie practiced her swimming with Grandma and she remembered a lot from last summer. She is learning how to come up and breath. (I hope the video will load) Anyways, here are the kiddos playing.
That bottom right picture is of Emilie coming off the huge dark slide. We didn't know what it was like but its the big kid/adult slide and it sure whips you around in the pitch black. She went down it like 5 times. It was sweet.
All the cousins.
And this is what Daniel has been doing 2 times this winter season when not on his rotations or working at Zions. He went to Sand Hollow Golf Course. Both days they went it was super nice around 60 degrees once in December and once in January. He loves golfing and this course is very nice. Him and my dad beat Sam and Clay this last time. Which made Daniel super happy :) Got to love the blue Utah skies!

Whats New....

We have been busy. But haven't taken too many pictures. So here is a few things that I haven't posted about. Daniel started his rotation at Walmart. He is doing 3- 12 hour days with an hour drive each way and then worked for Kourtney last week for 20. So he had big 60 hour week. He also played church ball Thursday we went the SUU gymnastics meet Friday and Saturday all day he played in the Fredonia 5 on 5. Ask me if I saw him much....Nope. The kids are doing well. Emilie is loving all the activities she is involved in. Easton and I just chill most of the time. Emilie ordered a tangled doll from the Disney store, it came last week and she is so dang cute. As for me I got 2 new church callings for the remainder of our 4 months here...lol. And we get to speak in church on the 30th...yay. Moving on...when we were up north we took some family pictures. I pretty much hate all of them. And it was freezing. But for now they will do I guess. I just won't be printing them. For the price... the lady sucked. I can't wait to get some good family pictures/kid pictures.
We spent New Years at Scott and Sara's. We had a blast eating and playing the wii. The next day we took the kids to Jumping Jacks and spent a few fun filled hours. They all loved it. Other than the 13 year old who took Emilie out on the slide...it was rough but we made it through.

After  much debate on when I wanted to put Emilie in preschool, we decided she needed the social aspect of it and enrolled her. Her teacher is Angie Castagno and so far Emilie loves it and comes home with fun stuff every time. I'm glad we decided to put her in. It keeps her busy and maybe it will teach her that she can't talk every minute of the day. Easton is lost without her though.
And last...we went the the SUU VS. UCLA gymnastics meet last Friday. It was a blast and SUU ended up winning, beating the defending national champs. YAY. It made me miss cedar and all the fun things we used to do. We left Easton at home and Lyndsey came with us, we had a great time. Thanks to my bro for getting us in.
And last...I will be an aunt again sometime tomorrow. YAY. Nicholas and Kelli will be having little Olivia tomorrow. We are super excited and my kids can't wait till Ethan can come stay with us for a few days. This makes 4 grandkids for my mom and dad. Sweet.

Here is miss Emilie at her first Gymnastics Performance. She did such a great job. They did their routine at the Cowboy Classic Basketball Tournament. She is the youngest in Grandma Gilbergs Gymnastics class and does a great job. She is like so grown up now :)
 Emilies Class and Friends
Emilie, Hallee and Anna. 3 buddies in Gymnastics. Each of these girls dads all grew up together in the same grade. (Daniel, Monte Hawkins & Clayton Cutler) Kind of cute that they get to hang out now. They love it.
